Andrew Hahn

Andrew is the Associate Director for Strategic Enrollment Management Data and Storytelling in the Office of the Vice Provost. He develops and coordinates data visualizations and other communications materials for campus partners, community leaders, and students and their families. He also provides analytical support to admissions, financial aid, and enrollment teams as well as the SSTAR Lab. Andrew is passionate about access to higher education, geospatial analytics, and open-source data tools and techniques.

Andrew has been telling stories with data for more than ten years as an investigative journalist at Wisconsin Watch and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and as a data visualization specialist at the Office of Student Financial Aid. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Strategic Communication and Political Science and a Master of Science degree in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems, both from UW-Madison. In his free time, Andrew enjoys running, crocheting, and sampling or making all kinds of fermented foods.
